Why I Started This Blog

Hi, I'm Jan!
I am a big fan of Medi-weight loss because in the first 9 weeks on the program I lost 32 pounds, which was the bulk of the weight I wanted to lose. I am not employed by Medi-Weightloss, but am a strong supporter, because I had been trying to lose this weight unsuccessfully for eight years before I started the Medi program.
I also have a selfish reason for creating this blog, and that is to keep me on track! I think by keeping this blog alive, the principles of the program will stay at the front of my mind and become my lifestyle.
I’ll be talking about the program, sharing tips and recipes and providing my secrets to sticking with the Medi program. If you want to lose weight and become healthier, join me! Whether you decide to follow the Medi program or Atkins or South Beach, we’ll take this journey together!
Very Perfectly Explained ..
Awesome job! I’m currently on the third week of my Medi journey!
diets can be hard to stick to so focus on having the right mind set
I hope you have good success with your diet I know you can do it
Great blog.. I’m in the I think I want to do this phase!! but is now a good time to do so? before the holidays or after??
Diane,
You know, I figured that there is never a “good” time..either it’s Christmas around the corner, or Valentine’s Day, or a birthday event, or family reunion, the list is endless…..
You just have to realize that after you lose the weight, you will go through all these same things as ‘skinny you’ and will need to learn to cope with the temptations that arise. The appetite suppressant that you’ll get from Medi will really help keep you on track, and making it through the holidays weighing less than before, was extremely motivating for me! Make up your mind and just do it!
Hi.. I’m trying to decide whether to join.. and timing. It’s the holiday season and I think it would be a true challenge right now and I want to be successful. Help??
How are you doing with your weight loss? I finally started three weeks ago, and things have gone well so far. Thanks for all the helpful hints that you have shared in this blog.

Hi there! I just joined Medi last Thursday…I’m starting day 6 today and am so ready for my first weigh in! Its been a challenging week but am feeling VERY positive about my weight loss. I’ve been struggling with post pregnancy 15lbs for a few years now so I’m ready for some success!
So happy to have found your blog, I will be checking in often, looks like you have some great recipes on here! And it’s a great motivation and inspiration!
Congrats on your weight loss!
Hello,
I am a big supporter of medi! I started 9/9/2009 and have lost 29 lbs. I love everything about it. I have a great clinic in Watertown MA and love all the staff! My favorite person is Kelly! Who would have ever thought that a 23 year old nurse would be this 44 year old Mom of 2 kids 6&4, best friend! She can even give shots that don’t hurt! This is the best program! It is worth the money, the results are amazing, I can’t say enough good things about it!

Hi Jan, I spoke to a nurse today who just started this program and recommended it to me. I am seriously thinking of doing it and love your website. It has been very helpful. I have a lot of weight to lose – about 100 pounds! But any additional feedback you can provide me would be very helpful. It sounds expensive… is it?
Congratulations on your weight loss and thanks again for sharing your insights. I hope to hear from you.
Gisele,
I’m glad you find this blog helpful. It is helpful for me too…I intend to keep this weight off (40 pounds as of today!) and writing and sharing the things I am learning about eating and lifestyle changes is uplifting for me.
One of my earliest posts lists my costs for the program..it is entitled First Week on Medi-weightloss program, I believe. I truly don’t believe I could have done it just by reading a book or online advice. I really needed the face to face weekly relationship with the Medi-staff. I felt good from day one because the program has been developed by a doctor.
I looked at the expense this way….if I am not healthy and happy spending my money on something else would still leave me empty. I am now on maintenance with Medi (after 12 weeks)(I am trying to catch my blog up with my progress), and will probably continue to get the B12 shots for energy, but that is optional. I am doing everything I can now to continue to educate myself about nutrition so that I can maintain or even lose a bit more on my own, but it is nice to know they are there if I slip or need advice.
Good luck with your weight loss. It’s hard to do on your own and if it’s not Medi…look for a program that requires you to show up weekly and face the music. After a few weeks, youll look forward to those weigh-ins and feel an immense amount of motivation.
